The martial art that is taught at the Deveau Martial Arts dojo (dojo is Japanese for training area) is Bujinkan Ninpo Taijutsu. This is formed by 9 schools of Ninjutsu, of which Togakure Ryu is the oldest being over 900 years old (Ryu is Japanese meaning school).
Deveau Martial Arts is owned and operated by John Deveau. Mr. Deveau has earned the rank of 5th-degree black belt and is an internationally recognized and licensed
Ninjutsu instructor. Mr. Deveau has been
granted this distinction by the grandmaster
of the art, Dr. Matsaaki Hatsumi. John

The Deveau Martial Arts dojo (Japanese for training area) started in 1995 when John Deveau set up a training area in his home. The studio grew in size and within a few years a larger separate facility had to be created on John’s property. This same dojo still resides there and each week students are trained in the ancient art of Ninjutsu.
The Deveau Martial Arts Dojo has two locations. The main dojo is a couple
minutes from the Cobble Hill town center, in Cobble Hill, BC, Canada. The second studio is in Comox under the instruction of first degree black belt Roy Randell.
